Planning

The implementation of a large project always requires detailed planning in order for the work processes of the various companies on board to be able to work with in the actual construction process. In cooperation with the ship owner Celebrity Cruises and the shipyard Chantiers de L’Atlantique, we were able to start planning at an early stage. The most important parts are the technical planning of the signage, the sign location plan and the message schedule. The installation planning can then take place based on these documents and in coordination with other contractors.

Process

Thanks to the long-term cooperation of the actors involved and many ships that were delivered together, the processes are already well established, thanks to our deep understanding of shipbuilding. Nevertheless, it was necessary that the processes could run flexibly and in parallel. While individual architectural signs were still in the technical planning stage, the production of approved signs could already be started. Our experienced project team was significantly involved in monitoring the processes.

Implementation

Our specialty is to technically implement the sign created by the designers. The signage on bord the Celebrity APEX is also an indispensable design element that gives the individual areas a name and character. For this purpose, high-quality materials and manufacturing methods were used that exude a high level of quality, that are not intrusive, but elegant. All signs are designed for tough use on board a ship that can sail in both the Caribbean and the Arctic.

Project result

The Celebrity APEX is a superlative ship with many different entertainment options that up to 2,900 guests can enjoy. The signage we have installed underlines the modern and luxurious equipment on board. In addition to our decorative signage, guests can easily navigate the decks from the Magic Carpet to the Grand Plaza thanks to the signage. Because of our excellent teamwork, the ship was able to be handed over to the owner company despite the coronavirus restrictions.
